Caricatures and lifedrawing

I'm leaving for California and will only come back in 2 weeks, so I thought I'd post some stuff before I leave. I've been delving into caricature a bit more lately, those weirdos up there are some friends from Montreal, I hope they don't find this out! The last one is a 10 minute pose I drew yesterday at a session in downtown Montreal, I'm a bit rusty but it's still good fun. Later!

Messing around

I feel like I'm in college fine arts again. Messed around with acrylics on canvas, I think the whole thing lacks direction like nobody's business, but eh, I had fun. Oh and I blame Sarah entirely for this work of art, posting fetus images and sending subliminal messages on her blog.

Some characters!

I've been trying some new stuff in terms of line and style... I still think I need to push my designs a good couple notches and go into extremes. Anyway, more to come~

Why does Granny need a melon bowler?

Why, to perform the secret melon dance!

Yeah... I hope it wasn't too predicatble, after doing the first skecth I figured I had to find a reason why poor old Granny was so lumpy in the hip area.

Comments and critique welcomed as always.

Fat Suburbian and Green Hair

Markers + Prismacolor pencils = YAY! I had forgotten just how amazing and smooth prismacolor colored pencils were, I'm in love.

Getting back in the swing~

Alright, summer's here and my internship in California's been delayed a couple weeks (long story), so I'm sitting at home in Montreal being bored. Solution: draw and update blog! :D

Here's some brushpen and nibpen doodles I did at Marcy's, thanks to Jordan for rekindling my interest with the medium. More stuff to come!
